Setting Up DNS Records per Domain Provider

DNS record instructions for the most common domain providers to connect your Plug&Pay site

In this guide, you'll learn how to set up DNS records at your domain provider to connect your custom domain to Plug&Pay. For each provider, you'll find the exact steps for both a subdomain and a root domain.

TransIP

Open the TransIP control panel and go to Domain & Hosting. Select your domain name and scroll down.

Next to (Geavanceerd) domeinbeheer, you'll see a toggle for TransIP instellingen. Turn this off to activate Plug&Pay on your domain.

Subdomain: TransIP DNS Records

Add the following records.

  1. subdomain | 5 Min. | CNAME | plugandpay.com.

  2. _acme-challenge.subdomain | 5 Min. | CNAME | subdomain.yourdomain.com.e4a12c3bcc6e3de6.dcv.cloudflare.com.

⚠️ Important:

  • In the first field, enter only your subdomain, not your full domain name.

  • In the last field, make sure CNAME records always end with a . (dot).

Example

  1. start | 5 Min. | CNAME | plugandpay.com.

  2. _acme-challenge.start | 5 Min. | CNAME | start.yourcompany.com.e4a12c3bcc6e3de6.dcv.cloudflare.com.

Root Domain: TransIP DNS Records

First, remove the following records.

  1. Remove existing AAAA records for the @ sign.

  2. Remove existing AAAA records for www.

  3. Remove existing A records for the @ sign.

  4. Remove existing A records for www.

  5. Remove any existing CNAME record for the @ sign.

Then add the following records.

  1. @ | 5 Min. | A | 162.159.140.187

  2. www | 5 Min. | CNAME | plugandpay.com.

  3. _acme-challenge | 5 Min. | CNAME | yourdomain.com.e4a12c3bcc6e3de6.dcv.cloudflare.com.

  4. _acme-challenge.www | 5 Min. | CNAME | www.yourdomain.com.e4a12c3bcc6e3de6.dcv.cloudflare.com.

⚠️ Important:

  • In the first field, enter only the subdomain names, not your full domain name.

  • In the last field, make sure CNAME records always end with a . (dot).

Hostnet

Open the Hostnet control panel and go to Services. Select your domain name and navigate via the Domain name tab to Change DNS.

Subdomain: Hostnet DNS Records

Add the following records.

  1. subdomain.yourdomain.com | CNAME | plugandpay.com.

  2. _acme-challenge.subdomain.yourdomain.com | CNAME | subdomain.yourdomain.com.e4a12c3bcc6e3de6.dcv.cloudflare.com.

⚠️ Important: Enter your full subdomain and domain name for all records.

Example

  1. start.yourcompany.com | CNAME | plugandpay.com.

  2. _acme-challenge.start.yourcompany.com | CNAME | start.yourcompany.com.e4a12c3bcc6e3de6.dcv.cloudflare.com.

Root Domain: Hostnet DNS Records

First, remove the following records.

  1. Remove existing AAAA records for yourdomain.com.

  2. Remove existing AAAA records for www.yourdomain.com.

  3. Remove existing A records for yourdomain.com.

  4. Remove existing A records for www.yourdomain.com.

  5. Remove any existing CNAME record for www.yourdomain.com.

Then add the following records.

  1. yourdomain.com | A | 162.159.140.187

  2. www.yourdomain.com | CNAME | plugandpay.com.

  3. _acme-challenge.yourdomain.com | CNAME | yourdomain.com.e4a12c3bcc6e3de6.dcv.cloudflare.com.

  4. _acme-challenge.www.yourdomain.com | CNAME | www.yourdomain.com.e4a12c3bcc6e3de6.dcv.cloudflare.com.

⚠️ Important: Enter your full subdomain and domain name for all records.

Hoasted

Open the Hoasted control panel and log in to cPanel. Go to Home > Domains > Zone editor. Click Manage to edit your DNS records.

Subdomain: Hoasted DNS Records

Add the following records.

  1. subdomain.yourdomain.com | CNAME | plugandpay.com.

  2. _acme-challenge.subdomain.yourdomain.com | CNAME | subdomain.yourdomain.com.e4a12c3bcc6e3de6.dcv.cloudflare.com.

⚠️ Important: Enter your full subdomain and domain name for all records.

Example

  1. start.yourcompany.com | CNAME | plugandpay.com.

Root Domain: Hoasted DNS Records

First, remove the following records.

  1. Remove existing AAAA records for yourdomain.com.

  2. Remove existing AAAA records for www.yourdomain.com.

  3. Remove existing A records for yourdomain.com.

  4. Remove existing A records for www.yourdomain.com.

  5. Remove any existing CNAME record for www.yourdomain.com.

Then add the following records.

  1. yourdomain.com | A | 162.159.140.187

  2. www.yourdomain.com | CNAME | plugandpay.com.

  3. _acme-challenge.yourdomain.com | CNAME | yourdomain.com.e4a12c3bcc6e3de6.dcv.cloudflare.com.

Antagonist

Open the Antagonist control panel (or oneHome) and click Products in the menu. Select your domain name and go to Manage > Edit DNS records.

Subdomain: Antagonist DNS Records

Add the following records.

  1. subdomain.yourdomain.com | CNAME | plugandpay.com.

  2. _acme-challenge.subdomain.yourdomain.com | CNAME | subdomain.yourdomain.com.e4a12c3bcc6e3de6.dcv.cloudflare.com.

⚠️ Important: Enter your full subdomain and domain name for all records.

Example

  1. start.yourcompany.com | CNAME | plugandpay.com.

  2. _acme-challenge.start.yourcompany.com | CNAME | start.yourcompany.com.e4a12c3bcc6e3de6.dcv.cloudflare.com.

Root Domain: Antagonist DNS Records

First, remove the following records.

  1. Remove existing AAAA records for www.yourdomain.com.

  2. Remove existing A records for yourdomain.com.

  3. Remove existing A records for www.yourdomain.com.

  4. Remove any existing CNAME record for www.yourdomain.com.

  5. The last AAAA record will be removed automatically once the A record below has been processed correctly.

Then add the following records.

  1. yourdomain.com | A | 162.159.140.187

  2. www.yourdomain.com | CNAME | plugandpay.com.

  3. _acme-challenge.yourdomain.com | CNAME | yourdomain.com.e4a12c3bcc6e3de6.dcv.cloudflare.com.

  4. _acme-challenge.www.yourdomain.com | CNAME | www.yourdomain.com.e4a12c3bcc6e3de6.dcv.cloudflare.com.

⚠️ Important: Enter your full subdomain and domain name for all records.

YourHosting

Open the YourHosting control panel and click DNS & Redirect management. Click Manage next to your domain name and scroll down to DNS management.

Subdomain: YourHosting DNS Records

Add the following records.

  1. subdomain | 5 Min. | CNAME | plugandpay.com

  2. _acme-challenge.subdomain | 5 Min. | CNAME | subdomain.yourdomain.com.e4a12c3bcc6e3de6.dcv.cloudflare.com

Open the Vimexx control panel and go to My Domains in the menu. Click your domain name and select DNS to manage your DNS records.

Subdomain: Vimexx DNS Records

Add the following records.

Then add the following records.

Open the MijnDomein control panel. Select your domain name and go to Dashboard > Domain name > Manage. Click Set up DNS.

Open the Strato control panel and go to Domains & Domain management. Select your domain name, click Configure and then DNS management.

  • Strato uses their own A record IP address by default. You can change this by selecting Choose a custom IP address and entering the Plug&Pay IP address.

Open the GoDaddy control panel, go to your domain and select Domain settings. Then click Manage DNS.
