Sign in
Before you get started, it is important to sign in to your Plug&Pay account.
Have you recently created a new Plug&Pay account? Please check your mail for your personal link to create your Plug&Pay website. Once you have clicked on the link and created your own website, you will be automatically signed in.
Not signed in yet? Please go to http://admin.plugandpay.com/login to sign in.
Enter your company details
First, it is important that you fill in your company details correctly. Please go to Settings > General data and fill in the details.
Under General data you fill in the address- and other needed company details. This ensures that the correct company details appear on the invoices that you send to your customers.
Connect your payment provider
In Plug&Pay, we work both together with Mollie and Stripe as payment providers. This means that Mollie or Stripe will process the actual payments of the orders that are processed via Plug&Pay.
Do you already have a Mollie/Stripe account? Then you can connect this account to your Plug&Pay website.
Do you not have a Mollie/Stripe account yet? Then you first have to create an account. Mollie is most commonly used for European companies π
Are you unable to create a Mollie account for whatever reason? Then use Stripe.
Create your first product
Through your checkout page you are selling your product. Hence the first step in creating a checkout page is to create a product. Please go to Products > Create product and follow the steps to create your product.
Give your product a title, description and add an image if possible. Under Price you set the standard price of the product, indicate if it is an one-time or a subscription (available with Premium or Ultimate) product and at last but not least you indicate if the standard price is included or excluded from the appropriate VAT.
Create a checkout page
Since you have created your product, it is time to create a checkout page to actually sell the product! If you make use of Plug&Pay Premium or Ultimate, you have the possibility to create a checkout page generated with AI in the previous step. If you skipped this step or if you are making use of Plug&Pay Lite, please go to Pages > Checkouts -> and click on Create checkout. Then select the product for which you want to create the checkout page.
Once you have created your checkout page, you need to edit the page. Do this by giving the page a name, connecting a product and by choosing your favourite layout template. You can edit these details under General.
If you switch the 'Page active' toggle, you are publishing your checkout page.
Under Content, you set every detail that will be displayed on your checkout page. This includes:
Title
Description
Media (which product image do you want to display?πΈ)
Fields: data you request from your customer
USPs: Unique Selling Points, why does your product stand out from the rest?
Order bumps
Payment button
Testimonials: post a review from your customer (tip: include a photo!)
Sales boosters: create scarcity with showing your stock or by adding a countdown and set notifications
Test your checkout page
Now that you have created a product and checkout page, you can receive payments. Yes, really, it is that easy!
But first, it is important to test your checkout page. Go to Settings > Connections & Integrations -> Payment provider and switch on the test mode. When your Plug&Pay is in test mode, you can go through your checkout page without making an actual payment. This way, you can test if your checkout page looks and works as it should.
Please note that all orders processed in test mode will be treated as test orders.
