Determining the perfect price for your product proves to be difficult. In Plug&Pay, you can easily A/B test different prices by setting a custom price on your checkout page. That way, you don't have to recreate your product with a different price, and you can keep using the same product. That's better for your stats, and easier to set up 😄
Custom prices are part of Plug&Pay Premium & Ultimate. Do you use Lite? Upgrade to Premium or Ultimate to use this feature.
Setting up a custom price
Navigate to your checkout and click on the Pricing tab. Turn on the slider to get started.
Adjust the standard price, determine whether a discount is given or add a volume discount. If you sell a subscription, you can also choose to set a deviating first period or a trial.
ℹ️ Want to change your product to a subscription, instalment or one-off payment? You can do this in the product settings itself.
In the details window on the right, you will see your adjusted price compared to the original price.
In the changes window on the right, you can view the history of the price changes; who made them and when they were made.
A/B testing
Now that we have two checkouts with different prices, it's time to test them against each other. This can easily be done with an A/B test.
A/B testing is part of Plug&Pay Premium & Ultimate. Are you using Plug&Pay Lite? Upgrade to Premium or Ultimate to use this feature.
Navigate to Tools > A/B tests and create a new test. Name your test and choose the two checkouts you want to test here.
Your A/B test is now ready to use. Copy the URL and use it on your landing page, website or socials. This URL will distribute visitors equally between the two checkouts.
