Editing checkout: Advanced

Written by Bryan Schoenmaker

Under the Advanced tab, you will find extended settings for your checkout page:

  • Restrict specific countries

  • Reverse VAT for business customers within the EU

  • Show the VAT amount on your page

  • Add JavaScript code

πŸ’° Payment options

By default, visitors from any country can pay on your checkout page. If you are only active in specific countries, you can restrict it to those countries only.

As an additional setting, you can enforce the visitor's country of origin based on their IP address. If a customer is located in a country that is not on the allowed list, they will be unable to check out on your checkout page.

If you would like VAT to be automatically reversed for business customers from another EU country, enable this via the Reverse VAT for business customers from another EU country option.

ℹ️ This is relevant when you are into B2B

πŸ‘ Display

Choose whether or not to show the VAT amount beneath the total. You would typically turn this off when working B2B.

πŸ‘Ύ Custom JavaScript

With JavaScript code, you can modify certain properties on your checkout yourself, such as changing certain texts or adding analytics scripts.
