In this article, you'll read how to manually cancel or end a customer's subscription in Plug&Pay. You do this when your customer has indicated that they want to stop the subscription and you're not using the Customer portal.
Letting the customer cancel the subscription themselves
Your customer can cancel their subscription themselves if you've activated the Customer portal in your Plug&Pay environment. This option is only available with Plug&Pay Ultimate, or with Plug&Pay Premium if you're using the Huddle integration.
Cancelling / ending a subscription
Navigate to Sales > Subscriptions and find the subscription you want to cancel or end. Click the subscription number to open the subscription.
In the overview of the subscription, you'll find the Actions block. An active subscription has the status Active or Trial.
Change the status to Cancelled or Ended:
Cancelled: Select the end date of the subscription and choose whether direct debits may still be carried out until then. Optionally add a reason for cancellation.
Ended: This ends the subscription immediately. Optionally add a reason for cancellation.
Click Save to confirm your change.
ℹ️ No email is sent to your customer when the subscription is cancelled or ended.
Removing access levels in Huddle
Working with Huddle? You can automate in Plug&Pay so that your customer no longer has access to parts of your Huddle as soon as the subscription has ended.
