In this article, you'll read how to automatically remove access to Huddle as soon as a subscription is cancelled or ended. Useful when you grant access to your Huddle environment through a subscription: once the subscription stops, the matching access levels disappear from the user automatically.
Connecting Huddle to Plug&Pay
This feature works via the integration between Plug&Pay and Huddle. Haven't set that up yet? Get started using the article below.
Removing access after a subscription has stopped
The integration with Huddle runs on rules. A rule decides what should happen in Huddle when a specific action takes place in Plug&Pay.
In your product settings in Plug&Pay, go to the Rules tab.
First, make sure you've added a rule that grants an access level to your user.
Click Create and give the new rule a name. For a subscription, you can choose from five triggers. To remove an access level, pick one of these two:
Subscription cancelled
This rule runs as soon as the subscription is cancelled. The subscription stays active, but ends on the next direct debit date. Use this when the access level should be removed the moment someone cancels.
Subscription ended
This rule runs when the subscription switches from active to inactive or ended. Use this when the access level should only be removed once the subscription has genuinely expired.
Then choose Huddle under Action and select the access levels you want to remove. Create the rule.
In the example below, the 'Gold membership' access level is assigned when an order is placed, and removed again as soon as the subscription has ended.
âšď¸ Fully deleting a Huddle account isn't possible through this integration. You can only delete an account manually in Huddle.
