Sell products in Huddle with Plug&Pay

Connect Huddle to Plug&Pay to sell products straight from Huddle

Written by Jelle Graafstal

In this article, you'll read how to let your members pay directly inside Huddle via the Plug&Pay integration. You either link an existing Plug&Pay product to a Huddle product, or automatically create a new product with a matching checkout.

ℹ️ This feature is available from Huddle Premium. Are you on Huddle Lite? Upgrade to Premium or Ultimate to use this feature.

How members pay directly

Members who don't yet have access to your product in Huddle see a checkout button when they view the product. With a single click, they land on the checkout and pay for access straight away.

Once they've completed the purchase, your member returns to Huddle automatically, with access already applied to their account. That way, a member can get started right away.

Connecting Plug&Pay

For this feature, the integration between Huddle and Plug&Pay is required. In the Huddle admin environment, navigate to Settings > Integrations > Plug&Pay.

Click Connect and log in to your Plug&Pay account. If you have multiple sites, select the one you want to connect.

Once the integration is successful, you'll see a confirmation message.

The Huddle integration in your Plug&Pay environment is also activated straight away. With this integration, you can give users access to their purchases by creating rules.

Setting up the product and checkout

Now that the integration with Plug&Pay is in place, you link a product and checkout to the product that's in Huddle.

Select your product in the Huddle admin environment and click the Access tab. If you've restricted the product with an access level, you'll see the Sales block at the bottom.

Click the Start selling button. You get the option to select an existing product from your Plug&Pay, or to create a new product.

Existing product: Choose one of your Plug&Pay products. A product needs to be linked to a checkout before you can use it.

New product: Create a new product. This product is created directly in your Plug&Pay environment along with a matching checkout.

After creating or selecting a product, choose to sell the configured access level. This creates a rule in Plug&Pay that automatically gives the user this access level after purchase.

Click Save. Your Plug&Pay product is now linked to the product in Huddle. Users without access can purchase this product directly through Huddle.

Visibility

Your Huddle product needs to be visible to users who don't yet have access. If the product isn't visible, users obviously can't buy it.

Under the Access tab, check that the 'Only visible to users with access' toggle is switched off.

Adding a sales page

Have you made a sales page and want to share more about your product? Enter the URL of your sales page under the Details tab. Strengthen your offer with Unique Selling Points and frequently asked questions.

A More information button then appears below the Purchase button on your product. This button takes your users to the sales page you've set.

Editing the product and checkout

You can always change the linked product. Navigate to the Access tab in Huddle and click the three dots next to the linked product.

Edit: Choose a different product or checkout.

Edit in Plug&Pay: Opens the linked product in Plug&Pay.

Unlink: Fully unlink the product.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Can I sell products with a public Huddle?

Yes. The products in Huddle still show a button to the linked checkout in that case.

How many Plug&Pay sites can I connect to Huddle?

You can connect a maximum of one Plug&Pay shop per Huddle.

My users can't buy the product, why is that?

Check whether the product in Huddle is visible to users without access. Open the Access tab for your product and make sure the toggle below is switched off.

Why don't my users have access to the product they've purchased?

Users only get access to the product if they have the same access level that's been set on the product in Huddle. Make sure users are granted this access level on purchase.
