In this guide, you'll learn how to set up a custom email address as the sender for automated Plug&Pay emails, such as order confirmations and invoice emails. This requires updating the DNS records at your domain or email provider.

To set up a custom email address as the sender for automated Plug&Pay emails, go to Settings > Email settings.

Enter your email address with your own domain name under Address used for sending email and click Save to activate it.

An overview of the DNS and MX records will appear. These need to be added in your email provider's settings to authorise your email address for use with Plug&Pay emails.

Most providers allow you to update DNS and MX settings yourself. If this isn't an option, contact your provider.

After updating the records, it can take up to 24 hours for them to be processed. Once they are, you'll see checkmarks in the left column of the overview in your email settings. From that point on, automated emails will be sent from your configured email address.

Emails are sent from mg.yourdomain.com. This subdomain ensures that emails are sent via Plug&Pay without affecting your regular email traffic. Most email clients don't show the mg prefix to the recipient.
