In this article, you'll read how to adjust the sending settings for the automated emails in Plug&Pay, such as invoice emails, payment reminders and announcement emails.
Adjusting email settings
To adjust the settings for your automated emails, navigate to Settings > Email settings.
Email settings: General
Here you can switch the various automated emails on or off, choose to include a UBL file with invoice emails, or add an additional email address for receiving invoices.
Mails
Enable invoice emails for direct debits: When you enable this feature, invoice emails will be sent for every direct debit for subscriptions and instalments.
Enable invoice emails for new orders: With this on, all order confirmations are sent to your customers by default. If you'd rather send order confirmations from your own accounting software, disable this feature.
Enable emails for payment reminders: This feature automatically sends payment reminders for abandoned orders. A payment reminder is sent within 15 minutes after the customer clicks on the checkout button but doesn't complete the transaction.
Enable emails for failed direct debits: This option ensures that an email is automatically sent when a direct debit fails, due to a reversed payment or an insufficient bank balance, for example.
ℹ️ Settings regarding direct debits are only available starting from Plug&Pay Premium. Upgrade now to access these settings.
Attachments
Send UBL file in invoice emails: With this feature, a UBL file is sent to your customers with every order, so they can process their invoice in their own accounting software.
Extra email address: If you want to forward invoices to an additional email address of your own, such as that of your Peppol Access Point, fill it in here.
Email settings: Announcement email
The announcement email is automatically sent to customers with a subscription or instalment as a reminder for an upcoming payment. This reduces the risk of a reversed payment. This feature is not available in Plug&Pay Lite.
Enable announcement email for direct debits: Enable this feature to send announcement emails for direct debits.
Days in advance to send: Choose how many days before the direct debit you want the announcement email to be sent.
Send email for: Select the moments at which you want the announcement email to be sent.
Email settings: Own address
