In this article you will learn how to adjust the send settings for automatic emails in Plug&Pay, such as invoice emails, payment reminders, and announcement emails.
Adjusting Email Settings
To adjust the settings of your automatic emails, navigate to Settings > Email Settings.
Email Settings: General
Enable or disable the various automatic emails here, choose to include a UBL file with invoice emails, or add an extra email address for receiving invoices.
Mails
Enable invoice emails for automatic direct debits: With this feature enabled, invoice emails will be sent for every automatic direct debit for subscriptions and instalment payments.
Enable invoice emails for new orders: This sends all order confirmations to your customers by default. If you prefer to send the order confirmation with your own accounting software, disable this feature.
Enable payment reminder emails: With this feature, payment reminders are automatically sent for abandoned orders. A payment reminder is sent within 15 minutes after the customer clicked 'Checkout' but did not complete the transaction.
Enable emails for failed direct debits: This option ensures that an automatic email is sent for failed direct debits, for example due to a reversed payment or insufficient balance in your customer's bank account.
Attachments
Include UBL file in invoice emails: With this feature, a UBL file is included with every order sent to your customers, allowing them to process their invoice in their own accounting software.
Extra email address: If you want to forward invoices to an additional email address enter it here.
Email Settings: Announcement Email
The announcement email is automatically sent to customers with a subscription or instalment payment, as a reminder for an upcoming payment. This reduces the risk of payment reversals.
Enable announcement emails for automatic direct debits: Enable this feature to send announcement emails for automatic direct debits.
Days in advance: Choose how many days before the automatic direct debit you want the announcement email to be sent.
Send email at: Select at which moments you want the announcement email to be sent.
Email Settings: Custom Address
