In this article you can read how to change the login credentials of your Plug&Pay environment and set up two-factor authentication (2FA).

Changing Login Credentials and 2FA

Navigate to Your name > My account in the top right to change your login credentials and 2FA.

My Account: Login Credentials

Here you can change your email address, name and/or password. You cannot enter an email address that is already in use within Plug&Pay.

ℹ️ To change your password you need your current password. Choose a strong password of at least 8 characters. Your Plug&Pay environment contains sensitive information about you and your customers.

  • Choose a password you do not use anywhere else online.

  • Make it easy to remember for you, but difficult to guess for others.

  • Never share your password with anyone else.

  • Preferably use a password manager.

My Account: Two-Step Verification

With two-factor authentication (2FA), new devices can only log in with a verification code. You receive this code via SMS, a voice message or an authenticator app. Enter your phone number and choose Activate to set this up.

ℹ️ 2FA adds an extra layer of security to your account, preventing unauthorised access to your Plug&Pay environment. We recommend enabling this.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How do I give others access to my account?

Within Plug&Pay you can add multiple users to your environment, each with their own access rights. Read how to set this up in Adding a user to your Plug&Pay.
