One of the most effective ways to increase conversions is by using scarcity. Limiting the number of hours in which an offer can be claimed creates a sense of urgency for your visitors, making them more likely to take advantage of a discount. Perfect for when you’re running a limited-time promotion!

What is an (evergreen) countdown?

  • A countdown is a timer that counts down to a specific date.

  • An evergreen countdown is a timer that starts counting down from the moment a visitor first arrives on your landing page.

Adding an (evergreen) countdown

First, you’ll need to create a landing page. You can do this by going to:
Pages > Landing Pages > Create Page.

You can add a countdown as either a block or an element. Simply drag the block or element to the desired location on your page.

Setting up the countdown

Click on the countdown to open the settings 👇

  • Type: Choose a standard countdown (Count down to date) or an evergreen countdown (Count down from first visit). Then set when the countdown should end.

  • Action: Decide what should happen once the countdown has finished.

    • Redirect: Set the page visitors should be sent to after the countdown ends.

    • Show text: Display a message when a visitor views this page.

Under Components, you can choose whether to display days and milliseconds. Hours, minutes and seconds are always displayed.

Adjusting the countdown design

Using the paint palette icon, you can customise the design of the countdown so it aligns with your branding.

Under Type, you can choose from different countdown templates:
