With Zapier, you can connect your Plug&Pay forms to another software tool.
For example, you can:
Ensure that after a submission you receive the correct details of your visitor and can process them
Ensure that a customer automatically receives the free lead magnet by email
Ensure that a customer immediately receives information after signing up for a webinar or event
In this article you will read how to connect a form via Zapier. Of course, you first need to have created a form.
What is Zapier?
Zapier is a tool that connects other tools to each other. You undoubtedly use various tools for your business. Zapier can be seen as the glue between all those tools. Through a connection in Zapier, a trigger in one tool or software can cause an action to happen in another tool or software. This allows you to easily automate tasks.
The Plug&Pay integration with Zapier
You can find the Plug&Pay integration on this page on Zapier. You can also simply search for Plug&Pay when creating a new zap.
Creating a zap
Create a new zap and choose Plug&Pay as the trigger. Then choose the event Form Submitted.
In the next step you will need to connect your Plug&Pay to Zapier. You do this by clicking Sign in.
You will then see a screen where you need to enter your Plug&Pay API key.
You can find the API key in Plug&Pay under Settings > Developers (under the heading Connections & Integrations).
First, you need to agree to the developer agreement before you can request the API keys. Click Get started and accept the terms.
Once you have done this, you can click Add new API key - give the API a recognisable name so you know what you are using the API for later, for example Zapier - Mailchimp.
The API key is shown once - copy it and paste it directly into Zapier!
Then go back to Zapier and paste the API key there.
Choosing the form
In the Trigger step it is time to select your form. You will see a list of all the forms you have created in Plug&Pay. Select the form you want to connect and click Continue.
Testing the trigger
In the next step you test the connection with Zapier. Zapier checks whether they can find an event in your Plug&Pay account.
If the test is successful, you will see a green tick and get a preview of the fields that are retrieved for this event.
ℹ️ The data you see in the test is fictitious data. It is not possible to get customer data from your Plug&Pay as a test in your Zapier.
After completing the test, you can connect your desired Action and create the automation you want!
In the example below, after filling in my contact form, a tag would be created in Mailchimp.
