When visiting a website for the first time, a visitor must give permission for certain cookies to be placed. This permission is given by accepting the cookie notice. In this manual, you can read how to set up a cookie notice for your Plug&Pay environment.

ℹ️ The cookie notice is only displayed on the landing pages and not on your checkouts.

Activate the cookie notice

To activate the cookie notification, go to Settings > Cookies:

Then you can activate the cookie notice by clicking the Activate button:

Customise the content

  • Title: Give the cookie notice a title.

  • Description: Provide a brief description of the cookie notice

  • Link to the Privacy Policy: Place the URL to your privacy policy, where you provide more information about which cookies you collect, and how user data is handled. A hyperlink is created in the cookie notice that redirects to this URL.

Determine the display

To customise the cookie notice template click on Customise template:

For the display of the cookie notice, you can choose between a pop-up or a ribbon.

Both have the same function, but look slightly different. Choose the display according to your preference:

  • Pop-up: This template causes a pop-up over the entire page. This blocks the content of the page.

  • Ribbon: This template creates a bar at the bottom of the page. This bar does not block the page.

The accent colour of the cookie notice is determined by the primary colour that is set as default for your landing pages and checkouts. If you want to change this colour, you can read more about it in this manual.

Script compatibility mode

The compatibility mode has to do with how scripts are loaded on your page. If you do not use scripts, leave this setting turned off! This is an advanced feature and should only be adjusted if necessary.
