You can create different users within Plug&Pay. This allows you to collaborate securely, and protect specific components from certain users.

Role management is part of Plug&Pay Premium or -Ultimate. Do you use Plug&Pay Lite? Upgrade to Premium or Ultimate to use this feature.

Managing users within Plug&Pay

To manage the users of your site, go to Settings > Users

This screen shows you all your users and their roles:

Adding a new user

When you click Add user, you enter a Name and Email address in the pop-up. Make sure to also select a Role for your new user.

Have you sent an invitation, but has the user not accepted yet? You can click on the three dots and send the invitation again. You can also withdraw the invitation.

The new user uses the invitation link in their email to create their own Plug&Pay account.

They use their account to see all the Plug&Pay environments they are added to and can log in.

The different roles

When you add a user, you can choose one or more roles. The roles determine which parts of the Plug&Pay environment the user can see and edit.

โ„น๏ธ You can combine multiple roles. For example, do you have a VA who creates products and also answers emails and adjusts subscriptions?
Then, combine the marketing role with the finance role.

Site owner

There is always one user who is the site owner. This is the user who initially purchased the Plug&Pay subscription. There is always a maximum of one site owner. The site owner can choose to transfer ownership of a Plug&Pay environment to another user.

Admin

An admin has all rights within Plug&Pay and can therefore view, edit and delete all components.

Support

A user with the support role can view orders, but cannot make changes. Support users cannot view products, checkouts and pages. This role is intended for someone who needs to have access to your administration, for example because they are in customer service.
โ€‹

Do you have a customer service representative or VA who also creates or modifies orders? Then the finance role may be appropriate.

Someone with the support role can:

  • View orders

  • Send PDF invoice emails

  • View subscriptions

  • View instalment payments

  • View the affiliate system, including commissions, affiliates, payment runs, and all general affiliate settings and reviews that are created.

Marketing

The marketing role is intended for users who build funnels, but should not see or adjust orders, or other settings in your environment.

Someone with the marketing role can:

  • View, change, add and remove the following components: products, checkouts, upsells, connections, confirmation pages, landing pages, forms, A/B tests, discount codes, exit intents and files in the media library.

  • View commissions in the affiliate system and view, accept and reject new affiliates. The general settings of the affiliate system can be viewed, and the promotional links, connections and content for the marketplace can be changed.

Finance

Someone with the finance role can change details of orders, subscriptions and instalment payments. This role is often used for finance support or VAs.

Someone with the finance role can:

  • View, change and add orders, download and email PDF invoices

  • View, change, add and delete subscriptions

  • View, change, add and delete instalment payments

  • View products (but not modify, create or delete them)

  • View, change, add and delete discount codes

  • View, approve, delete and add commissions in the affiliate system. Also view affiliates, past payment runs and create new payment runs.

Data analyst

A data analyst can view your Plug&Pay orders and statistics, but cannot make changes.

Someone with the Data analyst role can:

  • View orders

  • View subscriptions

  • View instalment payments

  • View products, checkouts, links, upsells, confirmation pages, landing pages, forms, A/B tests, discount codes and exit intents.

  • View statistics
