Overview of the affiliate system

Every part of the affiliate system explained

Written by Joris Witkamp

In this article, you'll find a full overview of the affiliate system in Plug&Pay. We'll walk you through every page, from Commissions to Settings, so you know exactly where to find what and what each page is for. Just getting started? Then this is the perfect place to explore the system.

ℹ️ The affiliate system is part of Plug&Pay Ultimate. Are you on Plug&Pay Lite or Premium? Upgrade to Ultimate to use this feature.

Every page in the Plug&Pay affiliate system is covered as a separate block below. Expand a block for more information.

Commissions

On this page, you'll find an overview of all commissions earned by your affiliates.

At the top of the page, you'll see four tabs: Orders, Subscriptions, Forms and Archive.

  • Under Orders, you'll find commissions from all orders, recurring payments included.

  • Under Subscriptions, you'll find commissions from recurring payments such as subscriptions and instalments.

  • Under Forms, you'll find commissions from form submissions.

  • Under Archive, you'll find deleted commissions. You can delete a commission by clicking the three dots to the right of it, among other places.

Status

The Status column tells you the status of each commission.

Paid: you've already paid this commission out to your affiliate.

Released: the commission has been released. Once the affiliate's outstanding balance exceeds the payout threshold and you create a payment run, the affiliate is paid and the status switches to Paid.

Pending: the commission has been awarded but not yet released. Under Affiliates > Settings > Preferences, you decide how many days it takes before a commission is released. For direct debits, this is always 60 days, so a reversed payment doesn't cause issues after you've already paid out.

Cancelled: the payment wasn't completed, for example due to a reversed or abandoned payment.

Filter

Using the filter, you can narrow commissions down by status, period, product, product group, affiliate, label and country.

Sellers

On this page, you'll see all sellers (affiliates) who have signed up for your shop.

At the top of the page, you'll see six tabs: All, Accepted, Pending, Rejected, Eligible for payout and Stopped.

  • All: every affiliate who has ever signed up.

  • Accepted: affiliates you've approved.

  • Pending: affiliates who have signed up but haven't been approved yet.

  • Rejected: affiliates you've rejected, who therefore can't earn commission.

  • Eligible for payout: affiliates whose outstanding balance is above the payout threshold, so you can include them in the next payment run.

  • Stopped: affiliates who have opted out of your shop.

Please note: a -icon next to an affiliate means their payment details are missing, so you can't pay them out. Ask your affiliate to fill in the details in the Affiliate Dashboard.

Payment runs

This is where you create a payment run to pay out your affiliates. Have you created runs before? You'll also see an overview of your previous payment runs here.

Marketplace

On this page, you sign up your own Plug&Pay shop for the Marketplace. That way, you attract new sellers for your products through our platform and grow your reach.

Reviews

This page shows the reviews affiliates have left about your shop via the Marketplace. This feedback helps other affiliates decide whether they want to promote your products.

Social proof matters when you're recruiting affiliates: the better your rating, the more likely others are to join and start promoting your products.

Settings

On this page, you configure the affiliate system exactly the way you want it. There's a lot to personalise, so we've put together a separate article that walks you through it step by step.
