ℹ️ In the article Subscriptions in Plug&Pay explained, you can read more about how subscriptions work.

ℹ️ This feature is available from Plug&Pay Premium. Are you using Plug&Pay Lite? Upgrade to Premium or Ultimate to use this feature.

Setting up a product as a subscription

Navigate to Products and create a new product.

In the Price step, choose the Subscription option. Set the prices and click Next to create your product.

After your product has been created, you can manage further settings for your subscription via the Pricing tab. Add the quarterly option here, or choose to highlight a period. The highlighted option is selected by default on your checkout.

Discount

Under Discount, you can decide whether or not your subscription offers a discount. The different options are discussed below. 👇

Promotion prices: Add a discount to your subscription prices.

Deviating first period: Decide whether the first month, quarter or year has a different rate than subsequent payments.

Trial: Set up a (free) trial period for your subscription, and decide how long the trial period lasts. You can read more about trial periods in this article.

Click Save to save the changes you've just made.

Price triggers

On the checkout, you can use various price triggers to highlight your subscription options and guide your visitor towards a particular option.

Go to the checkout for your product and click Content > Price triggers. Here you'll find three different price triggers:

  • Discount percentage

  • Monthly prices

  • Recommended payment option

In the example below, all three price triggers can be seen. 👇

Your visitor still has the choice of all three options, but is gently nudged towards the annual subscription.

Viewing and managing customer subscriptions

Once you have your first subscription sales coming in, they'll appear in your Plug&Pay under Sales > Subscriptions. Use the article below to read more about this. 👇
