Explanation of payment and landing page statistics within Plug&Pay

Written by Jelle Graafstal

In this article, you'll read where you can find the statistics of your Plug&Pay checkouts and landing pages. Plug&Pay tracks every step of your visitor, so you can see exactly how your pages are performing.

General statistics

Views and visitors

At the top of the page, you'll find a chart for your traffic and conversion, together with four key figures:

Statistic

Meaning

Example

Views

Number of times the page has been visited

f a visitor has viewed the page once, this counts once. If the same visitor comes back 6 times, this counts 6 times.

Unique visitors

The number of unique visitors

If the same visitor returns to your pages multiple times, this counts as 1 visitor.

Returning visitors

The number of visitors that visit your pages more than once

If a visitor has viewed the page only once, this does not count. If a visitor comes back 6 times, they count once.

Submissions

Number of form submissions

Every completed form counts as a submission.

To see how many opt-ins and sales there have been per day, click Conversion on the chart. These are all the sales and form submissions from all your pages.

Filtering

In the top right, you can adjust the chosen period or apply a filter. You can filter by page type, source, medium, campaign and device.

Overview

Under Overview, you'll find detailed information on all your Plug&Pay pages, including the number of unique visitors, conversions, the conversion rate and the revenue earned.

ℹ️ The revenue earned is attributed to both the checkout and the preceding sales page.

Source and device

Under Source and Device, you can see exactly where your visitors come from, and how much each source has earned you. If many visitors come from mobile devices, it's important that your pages are optimised for mobile.

Page-specific statistics

For each page, you can retrieve and view specific statistics. Look up your page via the search function in Overview and click the title. With this data, you can directly view the performance of every page.

Via the page overview at Checkouts and Landing pages, you can also easily view the statistics for a page. Click the three dots next to your page and select View statistics.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Are my own visits counted?

When you're logged in to Plug&Pay and visit your own pages, this isn't counted. It's only counted when you're no longer logged in to Plug&Pay, or when you view the page in an incognito window.

No visits are being recorded, why is that?

Your page only records visits from other people, unless you're logged out of Plug&Pay and visit your own page. Landing pages only record visits when you've enabled Tracking on your pages.

How are the conversion and conversion rate calculated?

The conversion is calculated based on the number of form submissions and sales.

If you have a sales page that links to a checkout, the conversion of the sales page displays the number of sales from the linked checkout.

For an opt-in page, the conversion only counts the form submissions.

The conversion rate is calculated as follows:

Conversions / Unique visitors = Conversion rate
