With Plug&Pay you can create your own navigation menu. This allows you to link to other pages, add a logo, and even include a CTA button in your header!

What is a navigation menu?

A navigation menu is the menu bar at the top of your website. In it you include menu items, i.e. links to pages on your website or to an external website.

Creating a navigation menu

To add a navigation menu, you can choose and add one of the two navigation blocks.

The top block has two menu items, the bottom one has none. You can add a maximum of one navigation block per page.

A navigation block is always added to the top of your page. In this block you can upload your logo, add menu items, and edit the CTA button.

Adding menu items

You add a menu item as a link. For the link type, choose Landing page and select the landing page you want to include in your navigation menu. If you want to link to an external website, choose Link and enter the URL.

If you want to add extra links, add a new element to your navigation menu. Choose Link and move the menu item to the desired position. Adjust the margin if needed to align the menu item with your other menu items.

CTA button

A navigation menu is not complete without a CTA button. CTA stands for Call to Action, meaning a prompt to take action. This is often for your free giveaway or a free discovery call, but it can also be meant to get in touch or link to your Huddle where your members can log in.

The CTA buttons are already included in both navigation blocks. You only need to edit the text and link a landing page or external URL.

Settings and design of the navigation menu

  • Determine the appearance of your navigation menu by adjusting the colour

  • Pin your navigation menu to your page so that it stays visible while scrolling

Mobile navigation menu

The majority of visitors on the internet use a mobile device. It is therefore important to optimise your pages for mobile users.

For your navigation menu you can therefore make additional adjustments with separate settings. By default, your menu is shown via a so-called hamburger menu. You can adjust this icon and its colour so that your menu better suits your business.

Saving and reusing the navigation menu on other pages

Navigation menu created? Then you will probably want to use it on other pages too. No worries, you don't need to recreate it from scratch. You can easily save and reuse your navigation menu on other pages! πŸŽ‰

1. Click on the Save icon

2. Choose a universal block or a block template.

  • A universal block is a block that remains the same on every page. All changes you make to a universal block are also applied to the other pages where this block has been added.

  • With a block template you can simply save and reuse the block on other pages. A change to this block only affects the page where you edit it.

A universal block is recommended for your navigation menu.

3. Add your saved block to your other pages.

πŸ’‘ Tip: Do not use your navigation menu on your sales pages and opt-in pages. This only creates extra distraction for your visitor!
