With the one-click upsell in Plug&Pay, you can easily offer additional products to customers after their purchase, without them having to re-enter their payment details.
This feature is available from Plug&Pay Premium. Using Plug&Pay Lite? Upgrade to Premium or Ultimate to use this feature.
βΉοΈ To offer an upsell, you'll need to activate SEPA Direct Debit and/or credit card as a payment method in Mollie or Stripe.

Before you start
To create an upsell, the following is required:
A product for your upsell
A checkout for your upsell
SEPA Direct Debit or credit card activated as a payment method in Mollie or Stripe
Creating a new upsell
You'll find the overview of all upsells via Pages > Upsells.
Click 'Create upsell' to add a new upsell.
Alternatively, you can also create a new upsell via your checkout, under the 'Upsells' tab by clicking the plus icon.
Give your upsell a name and select the product you want to use as your upsell. Optionally, choose whether to generate the upsell page using Plug&Pay AI.
Editing the upsell
After creating the upsell, you can edit it further.

Under the 'General' tab, you can change the general details of your upsell page.
βName: The name of the upsell and how it's displayed in your admin.

βProduct: The product linked to your upsell page.

βType: Choose how you want to use the upsell page.
Plug&Pay template: use one of our ready-made upsell templates
Landing page: use a Plug&Pay landing page as your upsell page
External URL: use a page on your own website as your upsell page
βTemplate: Choose a template for the upsell page. When you display the upsell page on a landing page or your own website, this option isn't available.
Primary colour: The colour used on your page, including for the background.
βURL: Change the slug of your upsell page as it's shown after the first payment on your checkout. When you display the upsell page on a landing page or your own website, this option isn't available.
ποΈ Content
Under the 'Content' tab, you can change all the content on the upsell page, such as the text and images.
βΉοΈ These settings are only relevant when using the 'Plug&Pay template' type.
Progress bar: Three steps are shown on the upsell page. Change the text displayed in these steps here.
Header: Change the title, subtitle and description of your upsell page.
Video: Add a video to your upsell page. This can be a URL from Vimeo, YouTube, Wistia or Vidalytics. If you use the 'Timed content' template, you can also set when the content of your upsell page is displayed.
Images: Choose which product images to display. To select an image, you'll first need to upload it to your product via the 'Media' tab.
USPs: Add Unique Selling Points (USPs) that pitch your upsell.
Testimonials: Add short reviews from customers who have previously purchased the product. Testimonials help convince your customers thanks to social proof.
Checkout button: Change the text and colour of the checkout button, the reject button and the confirmation pop-up.
Revenue boosters: Add an Exit intent or Countdown to your upsell page. The countdown is only available in the 'Timed content' template.
π‘ Tip: Click Preview to view a preview of your upsell page.
π οΈ Advanced
Under the 'Advanced' tab, you can add custom JavaScript and set up a webhook. This webhook will be triggered when the upsell is purchased.
Linking the upsell to a checkout
Now that your upsell has been created, you'll need to link it to your checkout.
βDid you create the upsell via the 'Upsells' tab on your checkout? In that case, your upsell is already linked.
Linking the upsell to a landing page
If you chose 'Landing page' under 'Type', you'll need to set up your upsell on your Plug&Pay landing page.
Linking the upsell to your own website
If you chose 'Own website' under 'Type', you'll need to set up your upsell on your own site outside Plug&Pay.
